Abstract
The Young Africa Works Uganda Roadmap aims to enable 4.3 million young people to access dignified and fulfilling work by 2030 in a robust, private sector-led economy. This addresses Uganda’s large youth population and the high rate of informal employment (83.5% of youth). The strategy prioritizes three integrated sectors: Agriculture, the Digital Economy, and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). Success is driven by systemic enablers, including enhanced education/skilling, affordable finance, policy implementation, and mindset transformation, ensuring inclusivity for young women and vulnerable groups. The Foundation serves as an ecosystem enabler and connector to achieve this transformation.
