Abstract
The document presents findings from YouthSave project research that was conducted in Colombia, Ghana, Kenya, and Nepal. It explores how low-income youth (ages 12–18) manage money and what they want from savings accounts. Ultimately the research found that low-income youth regularly handle money, often save informally, and seek accessible, simple, and private savings options. Despite legal and logistical barriers, youth express strong interest in saving for education and emergencies.
