Abstract
This report summarizes the findings and recommendations of the mid-term evaluation (MTE) of the Scholars Program of the Mastercard Foundation, with a focus on the Mastercard Foundation's Scholars Programs implemented by the University of California at Berkeley (UCB), Duke University, Michigan State University (MSU) and Stanford University. Using a mixed methods approach involving theory of change analysis, document review, site visits to the programs on each campus, key-person interviews, group dialogues with Scholars, and an online survey of Scholars and alumni, the evaluation was undertaken from October 2016 through April 2017.
