Abstract
The research for this market assessment consisted of a combination of secondary and primary data, through desk research and key informant interviews respectively. The findings suggest that hand-crafted shea butter and groundnut are two highly promising agricultural value chains with potential to stimulate improved and more attractive employment opportunities for young women in the north, particularly in entrepreneurship.
