Abstract
This document is part of a series of snapshot documents and it discusses the adoption and use of digital financial services (DFS) among low-income individuals, particularly in the developing world. While adoption of these services is increasing, meaningful financial inclusion requires active and effective use of these tools. Effective use involves leveraging DFS to address financial needs and solve problems, which can lead to improved well-being and prosperity, particularly for those at the base of the economic pyramid.
