Abstract
This document provides remarks prepared for the Presidential Meeting on the Rwanda Initiative for Youth Employment and Enterprise, held on February 2, 2017. The remarks discuss the need to focus on sectors of growth that align with Vision 2050 goals; the importance of investing and building the capabilities of people and institutions to develop the human capital required to support Rwanda’s economic transformation; gaps related to skills, knowledge, education, practices, quality, standards and the importance of working with young people to find their own solutions; the recognition of ICT as both a sector and an enabler across every business and industry.
