Abstract
The Rwanda Agriculture Diagnostic, compiled by Vanguard Economics, informs the Mastercard Foundation's "Reimagining Work" exercise, a review prompted by the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure the Young Africa Works Strategy remains relevant. The strategy aims to secure dignified and fulfilling work for young people. The report focuses specifically on analyzing the agriculture sector in Rwanda, which employs approximately 52% of the country’s youth. The study employed a mixed method approach between March and April 2021, including 26 Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), 5 Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with various youth groups (including young women and People with Disabilities or PWDs), and analysis of numerous national data sets
