Abstract
This briefing note, intended for Mastercard Foundation Scholars Partners, outlines the Scholars Program Roadmap to 2030, which aims to be the largest education and leadership program of its kind in Africa. The core goal is to enable at least 100,000 young people in Africa, particularly marginalized groups, to access higher education by 2030. This includes supporting 70% young women, 25% refugees, and 10% young people with disabilities. To achieve a transformative network driving socio-economic change, the strategy focuses on four Strategic Outcomes: Access & Thrive, Community-Engaged Learning, Dignified and Fulfilling Work, and Agency & Voice. The Foundation will implement this through a portfolio approach involving Bilateral Partnerships, Collaboratives, and increased Online Learning, emphasizing co-creation with partners.
