Abstract
This study intends to identify strategies that can be adopted to increase enrolment of women in STEM majors in tertiary institutions. Findings from the study show that advocacy for gender equality and affirmative action to get women into STEM majors and retain them in STEM field, and also proper training for STEM teachers to provide conducive environment for women students are some of the necessary strategies for bridging the gender gap in STEM education.
