- Abstract
- This discussion document focuses on the evaluation of the Foundation’s COVID-19 Recovery and Resilience (CRRP) Program in Africa. The CRRP utilized $300M across seven African countries, emphasizing access to financial services for E-learning, and digital solutions. The evaluation found the response effective in helping nearly 29 million people, building resilience, confidence, and hope among young learners and entrepreneurs. Key lessons highlight that combining training with financial support was essential, while digital structural barriers limited reach. The primary implication is the need to embed resilience more intentionally into future Young Africa Works strategies to account for ongoing shocks like climate change and conflict.
