Abstract
This document, "Toolkit 3: Leverage an Existing Agent Network - Case Studies", illustrates how Financial Service Providers (FSPs), such as UGAFODE in Uganda, SOFIPE in Burkina Faso, and FINCA in Tanzania, have partnered with Digital Financial Service Providers (DFSPs), mainly Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), to utilize their existing agent networks. This strategy allows FSPs to offer their financial products and services, like deposits and withdrawals, through the DFSP's established agent infrastructure. The case studies detail their objectives for going digital, the implementation process, benefits achieved such as increased outreach and reduced costs, and the challenges encountered, providing valuable lessons learned for other FSPs considering this approach to expand digital financial services (DFS) and promote financial inclusion.
