Abstract
This report evaluates the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program’s psychosocial support at Makerere University. It explores how the program addresses students’ mental health challenges, coping strategies, and satisfaction with services. Findings show strong participation in workshops and mentorship, but low engagement in individual counselling. Scholars face pressures around academics and finances, and recommend more tailored, inclusive, and accessible support.
