- Abstract
- The African Alumni Project explores how African graduates of international universities—especially those supported by The Mastercard Foundation—navigate career paths, return home or remain abroad, and contribute to social change. Based on surveys and interviews, the study finds most alumni experience upward mobility, strong social engagement, and lasting impact in Africa or the diaspora through leadership, innovation, and mentorship.
