Abstract
Between September 2017 and January 2018, 19 focus groups were conducted with a total of 170 Mastercard Foundation Scholars studying at four different institutions. The focus groups were conducted as one component of a larger longitudinal mixed-methods study aimed at addressing four questions related to: scholar engagement with the platform, scholar confidence in their ability to achieve career and Give Back goals, scholar perceptions of their networks, scholar strategies to develop and leverage their networks.
