Abstract
This article, published on August 31, 2023, discusses how in early 2023, serious allegations of misconduct and misappropriation were levelled against African Development University (ADU) leadership. An audit substantiated these findings, in which the Mastercard Foundation made the decision to terminate the Scholars Program at ADU but will ensure current Scholars continue their studies through a partnership with Ashesi University.
