Abstract
This article, published on October 4, 2017, profiles Mastercard Foundation Scholar Nonduduzo Ndlovu, and how she overcame significant academic and economic barriers in rural Swaziland (Eswatini). She achieved distinction to become a vital role model. Driven by this commitment, she founded The Maven Connectors to connect underprivileged young people with mentors and promote education, and in June 2017 received the Queen's Young Leaders Award from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, in recognition of her work.
