Abstract
This article, published on May 10, 2019, profiles Mastercard Foundation Scholars Ephrance Kalungi and Pauline Nalumans, and discusses their development of the Prawji-Mama Food Bank in Uganda to fight severe food insecurity and childhood malnutrition. The bank provides crop storage for smallholder farmers to prevent spoilage and allows them to sell at higher market prices. Prawji-Mama also trains youth in better farming methods.
