- Abstract
- This paper provides an overview of the Foundation's work and investments in education in Africa to identify key insights, lessons learned and replicable models, and articulate the Foundation's comparative advantage. These findings will support the Foundation to build on prior learnings and investments as part of its new Education and Transitions Programming Framework. The review focuses largely on syntheses of impact and learning within more mature education initiatives. The review provides an overview of country-led education and skills programming, though there are limited syntheses of learning or evaluative materials to draw from. It excludes newer strategies developed but without substantive program portfolios at present, such as the Refugees and Displaced Persons and Disability and Inclusion strategies, as well as emergent strategies in e-Learning and Transitions.
